DANGEROUS-GOODS PACKAGING

UN-Certified FIBC by Tested Design

UN-tested design options are available only after the current design report and marking are matched to the goods, maximum gross mass, packing group and applicable transport instruction.

Four-loop bulk bag shown as a representative construction for a UN-certified FIBC tested design

Representative construction — this photograph is not proof that a particular bag or shipment is UN compliant.

Design-Specific

UN status belongs to a successfully tested design type, not every bulk bag.

Goods-Specific Review

UN number, packing group and packing instruction must be supplied.

Marking Control

The final mark must match the approved design and production scope.

Route & Market

Applicable transport mode and destination rules are checked.

DECISION FRAMEWORK

A UN mark is the output of a matched design—not a catalogue badge

The right question is not simply “Do you have a UN bag?” It is whether a current tested design can be used for the specific dangerous goods, packing group, mass, filling state, handling method and transport route. HZ BULK reviews these inputs before confirming an option.

Suitable when

Dangerous-goods applications with a known UN number, packing group and transport instruction.

Projects able to confirm maximum gross mass, product state and intended transport modes.

Orders where the proposed bag, test report, mark and production specification can be aligned.

Do not proceed without review when

Using a sample report or product photograph as general proof of UN compliance.

Unknown or unclassified goods where the shipper has not confirmed the dangerous-goods data.

Changing dimensions, materials or components without reviewing whether the tested design remains applicable.

CONFIGURATION

Define the construction around the process

These are engineering inputs, not fixed catalogue promises. Final values are recorded in the approved specification.

01

Tested design match

Construction, dimensions, material, closure, maximum gross mass and required test basis are checked against the current design documentation.

02

Marking information

Country, manufacturer, design reference, year and performance information must follow the applicable approval and production scope.

03

Shipment context

Sea, road, rail or multimodal use may involve different instructions. The shipper remains responsible for classification and compliant use.

Current evidence position

HZ BULK holds a sample FIBC test report, but it is not published here as proof of a universal product range. Current availability and the exact design scope are confirmed during technical review before a claim or quotation is issued.

The page title reflects the target solution category. It does not mean every HZ BULK FIBC or every dangerous good is covered.

Regulatory reference basis

The UN Model Regulations treat performance approval as design-type specific. Successful tests and markings do not remove the need to follow the packing instruction for the actual dangerous goods.

BUYER FAQ

Questions to resolve before quotation

A strong RFQ gives procurement, quality, EHS and operations the same technical starting point.

Are all HZ BULK bags UN certified?

No. UN approval is design-specific. We confirm whether a current tested design matches your goods and transport requirement.

What information is mandatory for review?

At minimum: UN number, proper shipping name, packing group, physical state, maximum gross mass, transport mode and destination.

Can the dimensions be customized?

A change can affect the tested design. Customization is only confirmed after checking the applicable design documentation.

Who classifies the dangerous goods?

The shipper or qualified responsible party must provide the classification. HZ BULK uses that information to review packaging options.
